About This Site
Crap My Brain Says! was founded by Michael Rainey to accomplish three very important things:
- To jot down all the mental musings from my cluttered mind on a variety of subjects.
- To have a record of said mental musings as I suffer from neurological issues such as hemiplegic migraines, memory loss, and insomnia, just to name a few.
- To re-learn some of the HTML/CSS/PHP/Javascript programming skills I abandoned some 16+ years ago.

As for the content, like I said above, I wanted to re-learn web programming, so I rolled my own CMS. As much as Wordpress, Moveable Type, Textpattern, and others are more popular, user-friendly, and all other things great and small, I just wanted something simple and that I could say 'I Built That!'.
About Me
I'm a 49-year-old IT Professional/Junkie, tabletop roleplaying and board gamer, dabbler of the programming arts, all-around general geek, and full-time husband to my wife Becky and dad to five of the almost-always awesomest (is that even a word) kids: Carrie, Lilly, Sara, Jason, and Jackson. I currently reside in Weldon, North Carolina and currently work as an IT Field Technician at The Computer Guy & Company of Roanoke Rapids.
Support Me
What I write and post on this blog is for free. I like writing and giving back to the community and that's my way of doing it. The content I put on this blog will always be free.
However, there are some costs behind the blog and also some things my budget can't afford at the moment. So if you like what I do here and would like to support me, there are a few ways to do that.
If you're into Tabletop Roleplaying Games, such as Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Shadow of the Demon Lord, or others, you can check out my DriveThruRPG page.
I also have a Ko-fi account if you want to make a donation.
Finally, another way to support me is by sharing my content. If you liked one my articles you are more than welcome to share it.
